Jasmine Tea Sorbet

How To Make It?

3 cups Spring Water

2 1/2 Tablespoons Jasmine Tea Leaves

3/4 cup Sugar

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small sauce pan. Remove from heat and slowly add the tea leaves. Cover and allow the tea to steep 5 minutes

  2. Add the sugar, stirring until dissolved. Taste Wei; if necessary, add 2-3 more tablespoons sugar and stir until dissolved.

  3. Strain the liquid over a bowl; discard tea leaves. Cover and chill about 2 hours.

  4. Pour mixture into ice cream maker following manufacturer's directions. Or freeze in a bowl, covered with plastic wrap. Every hour for about 4 hours, uncover and stir the mixture with a fork.

  5. Serve alone as an intermission; add some vanilla wafer cookies if served as dessert

  6. 3 cups

Note: This Recipe you may use the Teabags for the Jasmine Tea. If you use the Teabag form you can add 3 Teabags. By the way, for a healthier dessert you can use Brown Sugar instead of regular sugar. Nutrition Irene Jones
